Apple QuickTime, Real Media Players or Netscape Internet

Minimum Computer Hardware Requirements:
- 500MHz Intel Pentium or equivalent AMD Processor
with 64MB of RAM Memory
- 2. 56Kbps modem, DSL, Cable Modem or LAN (Local
Area Network) connection, with 23Kbps or greater bandwidth

Minimum Software Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows® 98, ME, XP, NT or Windows®
2000 Operating System (See Note on Windows NT below)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5
- Windows® Media Player 9.0 or greater, DO NOT
install on the Windows® NT operating system. (See

- Both Windows® Media Player 9.0 and Internet
Explorer are available for download by selecting the
appropriate link below.
NOTE: Windows® NT supports only Windows® Media
Player 6.4 which will play SmartVideo media at reduced
quality. If you have a LAN/WAN connection to the Internet
your IT department may have installed a Firewall, which
may be configured to prevent the reception of all Rich
Media on your computer. Your network may also be prohibited
from upgrading the Media Software on your computer.
Please Contact your IT department to correct these configurations.
Check the Status of Required Software:
1. Connect to the Internet with your browser and log
on to www.smartvideo.com. Click on the “Test Your
System” button in the upper left corner of the
home page.
2. Verify that there is a red “OK” next
to the “Browser” and “Media Player”
tests.
3. If the tests indicate “OK” then your
system is correctly configured.
4. If either one of the tests are NOT “OK”,
you will need to install the appropriate software.
5. If Microsoft Media Player or Internet Explorer must
be installed, please print the installation instruction
pages and keep them available during download and Installation.

NOTE: For viewers connected with Dial-Up modems, download
of software may take 30 minutes or more, depending on
your Internet connection speed. A CD containing the
software is available from SmartVideo. Please Contact

CD sent to you free of charge.

SCREEN RESOLUTION & COLOR SETTINGS:
On your Computer, Screen Resolution must be set to
at least 800x600 and Color set to 16bit or greater.
To check and adjust the Display resolution settings
on your computer:
1. Click on the Start Button in the Lower Left corner
of your screen
2. Select “Settings” > Click “Control
Panel”
3. In the Control Panel Display, Double-Click on the
“Display” Icon
4. Click the "Settings" tab at the top of
the “Display Properties” pop-up
5. Adjust "Screen Area" to 800x600 or higher
6. Adjust the “Colors” so that they are
set to 16bit or higher
7. When settings are completed Click “Ok”
on the “Display Properties” Pop-up
8. Exit the Control Panel window by clicking on the
“X” in the upper right corner of the window

AUDIO:
To hear the audio from the SmartVideo presentation,
your computer must be equipped with a 16-bit or better
sound card and working speakers.
To check and adjust your audio settings:
1. Click on the Start button
2. Select “Settings” > Click “Control
Panel”
3. Double-Click on "Sound and Multimedia"
Icon
4. Select the "Audio" tab at the top of the
pop-up screen
5. Click on "Volume" to check your settings
6. “Speakers” and “Wave Output”
must not be muted. If there is a Check in the Mute Box,
click in the Mute box to remove the Check and Un-Mute
the audio
7. Exit the Control Panel window by clicking on the
“X” in the upper right corner of the window
