I
have a firewall. Will that affect how I access an event?
We rarely encounter firewall problems broadcasting
with SmartVideo. In the unlikely event you experience
a firewall problem, we will work with your systems
administrator to remedy the issues.

Some of our viewers are on dial-up
connections or have limited bandwidth on their desktop
computers. Can they still participate in a SmartVideo
presentation?
A typical dial-up Internet connection is 30Kbps to
40Kbps. SmartVideo provides high-quality, synchronized
audio, video, slides and chat at dial-up connection
speeds as low as 23K. Below 23Kbps, we turn off the
video portion of the presentation. The viewer will
be able to participate in the presentation with audio,
slides and chat. Over 80 percent of Internet users
either have dial-up connections or use corporate bandwidth
limited to dial-up connection speeds.
For DSL and cable modem connections, SmartVideo provides
audio, video, PowerPoint and chat with larger, higher-quality
video images than any other provider.
If you're using a T1 – T3 connection, you'll
feel like you're at the presentation!

How do we know if our participants
can view a SmartVideo Broadcast?
Your viewers can test their computers by clicking
the Viewer Test Button on our Home Page or below.
The test will detect the operating system, browser
type and version, the current version of your Windows
Media Player and the bandwidth of your Internet connection.
We also provide a download site, which has the required
software available if needed. Over 90 percent of Internet
users already have the correct software loaded on
their computers.

Yes. You need is a 384K ISDN connection capable of

Video Conferencing unit as you do today and broadcast
to as many viewers as you wish. This is a "one to
many" application; the viewers see the presenter only.

My company is using a learning
management system, can SmartVideo events be integrated?
Yes. We work with many clients with learning management
systems (LMS). SmartVideo content can be seamlessly
integrated into your system with little difficulty.
If you need an LMS, we can refer you to one of our
partners.

We have shelves of content that
has already been captured. Can it be used for SmartVideo
broadcasts?
Absolutely! We call this "repurposing" and have already
turned hundreds of hours of magnetic tape, DVD and
digital files into Web-ready SmartVideo content. We
can transcode almost any video format for SmartVideo
programming. Remember, Garbage In – Garbage
Out! The higher the quality of your original the better
the viewing experience.

Your user interface includes
different "windows" for audio/video, chat, PowerPoint®,
and other content. What if we don't need all of those?
We call the viewer interface a Broadcast page. It's
extremely flexible and our configurations are adaptable
to the different types of media you want to use. We
allow for audio, video, PowerPoint® and content
windows to be featured and de-featured. Customizable
solutions are also available for your unique applications.

to find out how.

Can the "look and feel" of our corporate
Web site be applied to SmartVideo Broadcasts?
Absolutely. We can match your corporate identity
by incorporating color schemes, logos, buttons and
other features customized to adhere to your branding
conventions.

We've never done anything like
this before. How do we educate our viewers?
Don't worry; we can help! It can be as simple as
"Test Your System" or detailed
step-by-step instructions sent directly to their email
addresses. We understand that delivering your programs
and events to your audiences is critical.

Can I access a SmartVideo event
in any other way besides the Internet?
Yes. Your event can be delivered on tape or CD-ROM.
However, we have all seen tapes and CD-ROM's sitting
idle in their sealed packages on our end users' shelves.
With SmartVideo, your programs, shows, training and
other presentations are delivered to your viewers
via the Internet, telephone, WI-FI, PDA, cell phone
and laptop equipped wireless devices. Viewer reports
let you know what has been viewed, when it was viewed
and by whom. Another benefit: SmartVideo's content
delivery is generally much less expensive than other
formats.

We don't want anyone else to view
our content on the Internet. How can you assure me that
this won't happen?
Our standard security (Digital Resource Management)
is extremely robust. We can implement even higher
levels of security to meet military and government
specifications. With our standard security, your viewers
log in and authenticate through your Web site with
a user name and password. Your system then passes
on to SmartVideo an encrypted key to allow viewers
to continue. Our registration process can be set to
restrict your programs to only those users you've
identified. Following your SmartVideo broadcast, your
viewer report will provide detailed information on
participants and viewing information.

After our event has been captured,
how long will it take before we can view it online?
This depends on the solution you request. For live
presentations, the SmartVideo system makes your presentation
available within minutes. If you are repurposing existing
audio/video and slides it usually takes less than
24 hours. We pride ourselves on the most rapid deployment
possible, and we're up to any challenge you can throw
our way.

Are there particular services
that have to be purchased together? Or can we select
solutions a la carte?

solutions that make the most sense to you. You can
rely on our experience and expertise to guide you
to a solution that best suits your needs. Or prescribe
your own bundle of services. We're flexible.

Sounds like something we can use
for our communications programs. How much is it going
to cost?
